Vocation Story: I was raised in a Catholic, service-oriented household.  I have always been involved in the liturgical life and service work of my my home parish in Johnstown.  As a child I was an altar server, and later I joined the choir, became a lector and became a Eucharistic Minister.  I was raised with the attitude that I should do things for others without expecting anything in return.  At the end of high school, while thinking about universities and careers, I realized that my life was supposed to be given in service somehow.

During my college years, I discerned that the best way for me to give my life in service was to give it to the servce of Christ's Church.  But though He calls us all to give our lives to him, I felt that I was being called to give it in a more radical way.  As a priest, I would not only be able to be a teacher of the faith or be a spiritual guide for people, but I could also offer the sacrifice of the Mass and celebrate the other sacraments, thus making present to people Christ's work in their lives.

As I enter my 5th year of formation, called "3rd Theology," I look forward to growing spiritually and intelectually through my classes and formation at St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore.
